For Spring 2021 Tamara Mellon teamed-up with D’Ascoli

to create a capsule collection of shoes using prints from the

New Bohemia Collection.

I was thrilled to awake one morning during a covid lockdown to find an email from the office of fashion maverick and renowned shoe entrepreneur Tamara Mellon explaining that Tamara loves our brand and would like to know if we would be interested in collaborating. I wasn’t sure what that meant exactly so we organized a zoom call between Los Angeles and Delhi and Tamara explained her idea to use some of our prints from the upcoming Spring-Summer collection for her new shoe collection to drop at the same time. The idea was to use our silk prints as ankle wraps, and Tamara applied them to two models, Oasis, a flat leather sandal and, Utopia, an open toe, sexy stiletto heel. Both models come in two colors – racing red and natural sand, and both look as if you wrapped a favorite scarf around your ankle reminiscent of a scarf casually tied on the handle of your favorite handbag.

Tamara Mellon is a British fashion designer and businesswoman, best known as the co-founder of luxury shoe brand Jimmy Choo.
